Shelves: new-to-me-authors-2019, read-in-2019, may-2019

I have tried reading this book many times over the years, but for some reason or other never finished it... until now. The story was okay, slow at times and needing more explanation in others, but on the whole I liked it.

I didn't like that number four decided to be called John Smith, simply because an alien calling himself that will always remind me of the Doctor (from Doctor Who).

I'm hoping that the questions I gave will be answered if I continue with the series, though I'm not sure that'll be ...more

L'ho iniziato con scetticismo, anche alla luce di recensioni non troppo positive che avevo letto. Però mi sono trovata immersa in men che non si dica, ne leggevo qualche pagina appena avevo l'occasione, mi ha tenuta incollata fino alla fine. D'accordo, non sarà un capolavoro, ma è ciò di cui avevo bisogno in questo momento, perciò il mio giudizio è positivo...credo che leggerò anche i successivi :) ...more

I enjoyed this teen sci-fi thriller but it didn't seem very original. There were quite a few things not explained, unless I missed them, like how come John and Henri and their fellow Lorics look exactly like human beings when their race developed on another planet.
