I liked this book. It was short and to the point.
There is only so much you can write about people in a mental hospital before you just can't read anymore. I have read books before about people cutting themselves, being anorexic, having mental problems and they are truly fascinating, no matter if they are real or fictional. It's really hard to say that books of this calibre are ones that I really like to read about because it is such a morbid subject. But it is true, books such as 'Cut' are ones ...more

McCormick nailed this book. How she built Callie, and her draw for self-abuse was phenomenal. It's very easy to read, but it's really meant for teens and tweens. I read this one a little too late for the target group, but it was still a descent book.

This was a very quick read that I really enjoyed. I liked Callie, I felt I understood her and I felt sorry for her. I liked how everything she thinks in her head is what she wanted to say to her therapist but didn't know how. Once she started talking again it was great to see how she got on with other people at the clinic. I felt that this book could have been filled out a bit more and we could have found out more about Callie but it was still a good book.

I'm surprised at how much I actually enjoyed reading this book. Cut is an amazing page turner, short but sweet.
What I loved most about this book was how everyone supported and cared for Callie. There were no bullies and it wasn't a depressing book like a thought it would be. I recommend this book to teenagers who do this kind of thing or anyone that feels down or alone. ...more

This is the story of a girl who is in a psych hospital for cutting. It's a quick, easy read but it all wraps up a little too neatly. Guess that's why it's a YA book.
