This book took me months to read, although the actual discoveries this remarkable woman has made have stayed with me and altered the way I look at forests.
It is a combination of ground-breaking science and autobiography, and although both parts are interesting, the writing isn't. There are times where the detail involved in the experiments was way too much for me: I am reading a book, not a scientific journal, and although I can understand it I don't necessarily need to know it all.
