Letto in un pomeriggio. Bello nel suo genere, affascinante e inquietante, come la protagonista. Cionostante, non so se le storie di vampiri fanno per me...finora ho letto solo Dracula e senza troppo successo; forse l'atmosfera gotica è fin troppo marcata e toglie il senso di orrore e paura che invece ci si aspetta, o forse sono io che non riesco a coglierlo.

A short, atmospheric, and rather beautiful read, effortless to finish. I blasted through this book in roughly a day right after I finished reading Dracula, and I feel more positively about Carmilla because though Dracula has some incredible moments, it also had whole sections I didn't care for. Carmilla is succinct and doesn't overstay its welcome, also leaving me wanting more.
