What Members Thought
I expected and wanted so much to love this after reading so many glowing reviews. I was expecting something like a cross between Terry Pratchett and Diana Wynn Jones. So it's almost inevitable that I would feel let down after reading it.

Read when my daughter was 8. She seemed to enjoy it then. I didn’t like it as much. Now she’s 13 and tried it again (not remembering the first time) and she didn’t like it. Might hit for a certain age
A beautiful, whimsical little book about a girl named September who is whisked away to Fairyland. While there she must use her smarts, strength, heart and courage to survive and help others. A gorgeous story.
Fanciful and fun. I will look for the next one.
