i enjoyed this new version of odysseus and Penelope. Told through the eyes of penelope and her 12 maids it was pact and easy to read
Even on a second read this book is fresh and interesting. Attwood throws almost all writing styles into the melting pot of this book and it works. She has a foot in 2 courts describing events from centuries past in a modern thought provoking way. This is a marvelously tongue-in-cheek rewriting of the old myth, including side comments about "cousin Helen" (of Troy).
