Woah. This was amazing! The world building was exquisite, and the integration of Mezo-American and Polynesian myth was really engrossing. I was reading an ebook version and did not see the end/cliffhanger coming.

I thought the story was interesting and kept me entertained. I also thought the ending was a little "is that it?" and that the romance was a little squicky. I have no idea what the continuation of the series will look like, and I'm not sure I care enough about any of the characters to try to find out.
