I absolutely adored this book. To say too much would be to spoil what was a genuinely delightful page-turner, start to finish, so I'll just say that if you like compelling characters all dealing with complicated motivations, a fantastically diverse cast of queer identities, and some truly awesome worldbuilding with multiple types of fascinating magic, this book is for you.

Black Sun is a fantasy novel set in a pre-colonial Americas inspired world. The world building was excellent and the characters were diverse and interesting. There was a lot of political intrigue if you like that type of epic fantasy (I do) and not a lot of epic battle and war (not that there wasn't plenty of violence).
