What Members Thought
This is one of my favourite books of the year, I loved it so much I am actually upset that I have finished it. I think part of the reason I enjoyed it so much is because I saw a lot of similarities between myself and Emma. It had the right mix of humour and sadness, it was very hard to put this down. I am so glad I enjoyed it because I have had it for ages and I kept putting it off because I was given the book by someone who didn't like it.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were complex and likeable, and the story unpredictable and realistic.
I really wanted to love this - the main characters are just a bit older than me, and I should have been able to visualise everything so well as I lived through these years as a student and then working in London too. But it just didn't resonate. And I didn't find the characters likeable at all. Can't think of one I liked. A shame - I had high hopes.
