Eve and company investigate the murder of a personal trainer with a mean streak. The question arises as to who didn't want the jerk dead.
A solid installment although to be perfectly honest, the victim is such a nasty piece of work that it is difficult to summon up much sympathy for him. The twist at the end is pretty good although it isn't all that surprising.
The Christmas shopping/party scenes are cute and add a festive air to the book.

I really liked this one. Man that ending. People are seriously crazy sometimes. I can't even imagine. But of course Eve got to the bottom of it. It must be hard fighting for people you can't stand but she is amazing.
My biggest concern is that there is not even a pretense of Roarke staying on the sidelines now. It's just so unrealistic it bothers me at times. But I still love the series. ...more

wasn't my favorite in death - mostly because i felt like it was soo simple through-out and the press to get it done by christmas just irked me...but i loved seeing the family/friends - the christmas party etc
