The Sun Down Motel has a bit of a creepy feel, and is a mystery that spans a couple of generations. In 1982, Viv disappears during the middle of a nightshift while working at the desk of the Sun Down Motel. In 2017, her niece, Carly, at a crossroads and adrift in her life, arrives in the town of Fell, New York, determined to find out what happened to her aunt. Soon, Carly is working the midnight shift at the Sun Down Motel, just as Viv did, with the same weird events happening.

Last night, I decided to read this downstairs with only my dog as a company. Halfway though, I got freaked out and had to go upstairs searching for hubby's company. I finished reading in bed, in the dark, but thankful (for the first time ever) for hubby's softly snoring beside me. There's just something about this particular 'horror' ((view spoiler)) that actually scare me. And yet, I couldn't stop reading.

Truly frightening. The large number of coincidences in this did bother me. However, it's October and this is a good suspenseful supernatural mystery type Halloween read.
