What Members Thought
the book was well written, with vivid images, occasional lapsing to formulaic, possesses engaging narrative, and (largely) successfully tred the thin line between philosophy and polemic.
It did not take my breath away; it is not one of the best books that I have ever read; it did not change my life, give me insight, or make me (more) sensitive.

My only real complaint with this book is that is was a little slow in a couple of places. But overall a very enjoyable book. I would like to see the movie.
