Book Lovin' Fun! I started this book as a way to get my extremely smart, extremely advanced son into reading. The boy is an excellent reader but absolutely HATES it. It's devastating to me since I love reading so much but I refuse to give up on him. I know that there is going to be one book that catches him and he won't ever look back. So, it's been my mission to find it.

Things I didn't like:
• The name Meggie.
• The use of random, irrelevant quotes from other books at the start of each chapter.

This is truly a book-lover's book. Who could resist a story whose plot revolves around the magic and power of books! Meggie and her father and great-aunt are endearing, and many of the minor characters are, well, characters. Many current young-adult fantasy books are a little too unbelievable for me, but I had no trouble throwing myself into this one. I'll definitely follow up with the rest of the trilogy.

This was a wonderful book. So much imagination. I'm going to go get the next book in the series.
