What Members Thought
I expected more with this one. Beautiful descriptive writing for the most part, however I felt the story line wasn't really developed as it should have been. Some parts didn't seem realistic. At times I did get bored. However, I did keep in mind this is her first novel. Despite these couple of things, this is an important novel for the world we live in today. The message of immigration, class, culture are among some of the topics explored. I do like the author's writing and are hoping for better
