This is a little book (barely 200 pages) that packs a big punch. Hall tackles destructive changes in the environment, the legitimacy of governments and their leaders, and gender stereotypes, all in a riveting story.

I just finished Daughters of the North and was not impressed. The author, Sarah Hall, has a wonderful writing style, but the plot and characters did not hold my attention. The ending was abrupt and overall the book was not to my taste. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this dystopia.
