Shakespeare, even when he disappoints a bit, is never worth less than five stars.
Nevertheless, for all the many wonderful lines, the surrealistic images, the magical illusions, the manifild possibilities of interpretation - I was left feeling a little deflated on finishing this.
Prospero, in forgiving the high born and low born plotters, does so, at least in the case of the corrupt courtiers, 'through gritted teeth' (as one critic says).
The wicked schemers only ostensibly seem to repent.
