I was a bit disappointed with this. Under the guise of recreating a gender-change story from Ovid, Ali Smith perpetuates the myth that love happens at first sight and anyone can have a happy ending as long as they are thin and beautiful.
Warning: the main character enjoys breaking the spines of books (in bookshops, without paying for them). And I think we're still supposed to like her ;) ...more
