Initially after finishing this book, which contains both "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" I felt that I liked the Wonderland story better than Looking Glass one. The thing is, I'm not really sure why. It might be because the Wonderland portion of the book is more familiar to me. This is probably the 5th time I have read this book at different times in my life. Most recently I have read it in response to Tim Burton's film. I found it really interesting to see what he depicted (I really liked the film) But this reading of the book led me to appreciate more irony and humor than I had in past readings. The characters are uniquely wacky. It was a childhood favorite since being introduced to it in a 3rd grade enrichment class. Seeing Redd Seeing Redd is my favorite adaptation

I know this book by heart. One of the abridged versions is the first book I've ever read in my life, because I learned reading through that very book. My mum used to read it to me every night and I had it memorized to every last word. I've read the whole book as soon as I could, and I've read it a million times more after that.
