Leaves of Grass is a remarkable collection of poetry . Even though I grew up less than a mile from the Walt Whitman bridge , I never read his poetry. The things that stood out the most were the addition of endless examples when being given imagery. It wasn't uncommon to have a string of six items separated by commas to describe one thought.
