This book has a bit of a slow start and it took me a while to get into the characters, but its been several years since I read the first book. This one isn't quite a good as the first book but it was still enjoyable. I did like the characters. I would have liked to learn more about the mother and I still love the apple tree! 3 1/2 stars. ...more

This book was disappointing! I wanted to skip pages just to finish it, but did endure it until end. This is sequel to Garden Spells and concentrates on Waverly family . All of the Waverly woman has special gifts: Claire has special cooking skill, Sydney has magical hair styling gifts, Bay has magical organizing skill . The storyline was poor.
