Yes, you just can never tell what really goes on behind closed doors though sometimes, you could just be oblivious to the signs thinking that it's strange but oh wells. I had something of a conversation with a work colleague about this and the shocked look on her face when I stated that I think that's abuse(!!). It gets me really angry and I think this is one reason why I do not like psychological thriller; they are usually domestically set and they really get on my nerve.

Much has been said about the book. I turned pages quickly, then misplaced the book for a while...............when the dog was there I started to get apprehensive because pets in books don't always make it to the end of the book. I was interested to see how it ended but the ending was...........so implausible for me..................that said I am reading her second book.

Okay, I did NOT see that coming! I literally could not put this down--neglected everything I could that wouldn't have dangerous repercussions for my family. I was a little afraid there for a minute that things were going to turn one more time at the very end! Don't want to give too much away . . .

Wow, this book made my skin crawl.
Jack and Grace seem like they are the perfect couple. A loving marriage, trips to Thailand, beautiful dinner parties. Jack's a prominent lawyer and Grace the ever loving and caring house wife. They are also preparing to bring Grace's sister Milly to live with them once she graduates from her school. Grace the ever perfect wife who is so hard to get a hold of for someone who does not work. I'm not sure about the plausibility of all this, but I can tell you what it is: a high interest read and true horror.

I don't want to start another book. Not after finishing this one. It grabbed me from the beginning. And held me right through to the end. The characters are excellent. Millie, Esther, Janice, Jack, Grace. They all hold important parts in this nightmare. Can't wait to see if Paris will write more. It will be a shame if she is a one hit wonder.

The plot and characters in this were too ridiculous to be believed.
