Coming into this book, I knew nothing about the subject. It's frightening that something so terrible could have happened and people just let it go.
As a history fan, it was hard to accept certain parts of this book uncritically. Hyberbolic phrases had my mind inserting [citation needed] at various points. It feels like the author often didn't interrogate the evidence but accepted what she was told at face value.
