I did not want to read this book. I was already very turned off by the fact that Gilbert's life falls apart but instead of learning to rebuild her life IN real life like most people have to (which might have been helpful and inspirational to others battling post divorce depression) she gets paid to take a year off and devote an entire year to only her. Obviously, so much hype around this book and movie... despite of all the negative opinions on liz gilbert being too cheesy and bland, I LOVED this book. I read it at a point in my life where everything seemed to fall apart and this was the only thing that made my smile, then cry and then laugh. So yeah, I loved eat pray love and I stand by it.
