Second collection I've read by Joe Hill, and I liked these a lot. A great mix of traditional horror/violence and some that feel more like melancholy literary short stories. Biggest beef -- there are 15 stories here, and not a single one has a female main character. And with a disparity that blatant, it starts to feel a little pointed. I would rather have no women than misogyny, but given the choice I'd rather have neither of those things. ...more
