I'm not exactly sure why this book resonated with me, but it did. Sam and Grace were so cute, their love so pure, my heart just heart. I read this for a reading challenge, not expecting to like it because YA is just NOT my thing, but I adored it. Now, I can't wait for book 2.

Okay so I liked this book. I don't read alot in this genre as normally I can't get past the whole female POV of "I am obsessed with a vampire/beast thing, what is a girl to do" swoon swoon rubbish. But this one was treated far better by the author. To be a wolf, no vamps in this book, is for our main boy an awful demise. How he longs to stay human, to stay as Sam - it really is heartbreaking stuff. I liked the girl too, Grace is smart, independent and totally into the wolves that live in her are

I really enjoyed this book. It seemed like it took me a bit to get into (but looking back, I think I was just so busy I couldn't find time to read). The story was amazing though. It was very different from most of the Werewolf stories I have been reading. Most werewolfs are still relatively human in wolf form. But not in this book. I love every page of Shiver. The idea and the premise is fascinating – I love Ms. Stiefvater’s take on the mythos of the werewolf, with the gradual transformation from human to wolf forever in winter. The new presentation of werewolf mythology appealed to me. I liked that they were real wolves instead of some kind of slavering, moon-crazed creatures. and I also cannot deny that Ms. Stiefvater’s descriptions are lovely, and her prose evocative ...more

Maggie Stiefvater is truly an amazing author in every sense of the word. Shiver made me feel so many different emotions and I could not put it down, I even sat reading it until 2am. I love the detailed descriptions of everything, the characters, the scenery and their emotions. Sam and Grace's chemistry is so strong and bonding that I am envious of it and yet still loved reading it. This book really brought back my already strong love of reading and turned me into an absolute book maniac. If this
