A sweet story of young star-crossed love that also manages to be creepy as hell.
Seriously, where were the YA books like this when I was in high school!!
Aside from graphic depictions of what it must be like to be chewed on by wolves, what upset me the most was the main character's parents. They were just awful! Not abusive, just criminally selfish, immature and neglectful. Not that I am a perfect parent myself, but I like to think I would at least know if my daughter were...you know...doing it wi ...more

Oh how I enjoyed this book. Yes the first bit creeped me out a bit, but it made up for it the whole rest of the way. Sam and Grace were great characters and the writing didn't seem forced. I loved the history and actually finding out about Sam and his life.
This book is what Twilight could have been. Don't get me wrong I liked Twilight and I read them all, but this writing was just so much better. To see how big Twilight is now I know if Ms. Stiefvater had written the books it would have been ev ...more

Very nice writing style, I just wasn't all that interested in the story.
