Book #4 in the Sookie Stackhouse series is just as good as the first one-maybe better. In this one Eric the vampire has been cursed by a witch and lost his memory making him much more vulnerable and endearing. Sookie's brother Jason goes missing and she has to try to save him as well as Eric. Sookie gets stronger and fiestier with each book-this series is really addictive. ...more

Sookie is driving home from a New Years Eve Party at merlotte's when she finds a nearly nude Eric running down the road. It turns out Eric's memory has been erased due to a witches curse. Sookie finds herself very attracted to this kinder, gentler Eric. This story was definitely more focused than the last book in the series. I like seeing another side to Eric and really didn't mind that Bill was barely in the book. I do wonder though how many more supernatural variations will show up in future b ...more

Yet another amazing Sookie Stackhouse story :0)
I'm just loving this series!

Sookie is driving home from work after the New Years eve celebration when she sees a naked man running along side of the road. She slows down and discovers it's Eric, and he has no memory of who he is or how he got there. Eric with no memory turns o

I continue to sit on the fence about these books. They are fast reads and they keep my attention. It wasn't until I saw the HBO series (which I really don't like overall - it's entirely too graphic - graphic language, graphic violence and graphic sex/nudity) and saw Stephen Moyer bring Bill to life that I really "got" that character at all. Now, I'm pretty obsessed with finding out how his story continues. Though since the story is about Sookie, not Bill, sometimes it takes some patience on my p ...more

I just didn't enjoy this as much as I should have. I love vampire novels if they're serious vampire novels. The comedies just don't sit well with me. I still might try reading the beginning of the series. ...more

I love these books. Charlaine Harris sets up her world and scenes so good. I feel that I am in their world and that anything can happen. I am glad to see not as much of Bill in this book.
