I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed this one, the comparisons with Ancient Egypt were amusing and surprising enlighting and the social satire that arose from the clash between traditional and progressive views was entertaining and hysterically funny. Pratchett's one liner's were witty and often unexpected and had me giggling out loud frequently. This was an entertaining satire of religion, government, tradition, and resistance to change. The story was OK. The characters were not as interesting as some of the other Discworld characters. There was a bit of humor, but nothing that made me laugh out loud. Overall it was an average Discworld novel, not one of my favorites but also not my least favorite.

I love the world's greatest mathematician, You Bastard. This is such a fun Pterry, set in the old kingdom of Djelibeybi, original home of Prince Teppic, although his spiritual home is Ankh-Morpork. It's funny how it seems to be Dios' calves that ache the most, maybe there's something to be said for walking like an Egyptian...
