I gave this book three stars because sometimes I liked it five stars and sometimes I liked it less than three, so three is the overall average. Fabulous writing. I'm convinced this really happened to this author. It is so sad and bereft it has to be true. It is a Holocaust story but interesting in that it is the aftermath and how it affects people who were barely born.
