I finished The Heretic's Daughter byKathleen Kent. Great book. I am giving it four stars. This book follows the Carrier family through the Salem Witch trials. This was a pretty good book. It was definitely interesting to read about the Salem witch trials and heartbreaking to realize what they actually caused.

I thought the author did a good job of sticking with the point of view chosen by having the daughter be the narrator. Unfortunately, I thought this created one of the real weaknesses of the book - a number of questions I had, and which I thought were the really interesting questions, were never answered, because a child would not have known the information needed to answer them.
