What Members Thought

Once I started reading this book, I couldn't stop! I like that it was written from the daughter's point of view~a very different view of a terrible part of our history. This book will stay with me for a long time.
I also find it amazing that this is a first novel. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Mixed reviews on this one. Didn't actually like the characters but it was a fascinating and sad look at how the Salem witch trials came about.

This is a book that is most appreciated by its end. It builds upon itself slowly. The story is heavily weighted about prison life in the second half. I found the imprisonment of the convicted disturbing and inhumane. Kent tells a good and thourough tale of life and witch trials of Salem in the late 1600s.
