I loved this like I love gelato. It's total braincandy, I admit, but...it's the most GLORIOUS BRAINCANDY EVER.
I really think almost any girl could relate to it- anyone who's had money problems, even.
I love the main character, Rebecca Bloomwood, the way she's smart yet stupid. I love her voice(it's in 1st person. I love the situations she gets herself in, and how she gets herself out(or...not). Perfect, type-A girls who rock at their job, their love life,their family life, their financia ...more

A hilarious read! Great for the weekend while I was feeling a little bit lazy to do anything. Now, on to Book 2!
Loved it - part of me was laughing hysterically and part of me was identifying just a bit too much.
This would have been a great beach read. It was kind of fluffy, but I enjoyed the ending. It kind of reminded me of the transition from College to adulthood. Loved the letters that were interspersed between the chapters, especially the one from the Finnish bank.
I'm not sure why I liked this book. The character was so ditsy, but still........it was funny.

Drivel...complete and utter waste of my time. I normally enjoy chicklit but not this one.
Becky Bloomwood works writing for a financial magazine but her real love is fashion. Becky likes to buy a lot of clothes and make up and she has gotten herself into a large amount of debt which she is ignoring. I didn't find this book as humorous as some of Kinsella's other books. About two thirds of the book is Becky whining about how broke she is while she is still buying useless stuff. Only in the last part of the book did anything interesting happen. Had to invoke the 50 page rule...
Okay the first 100-150 pages about drove me crazy. I honestly felt like I might have an axiety attack because of her spending. Also because it was based in London, the name brands didn't much matter to me and I didn't understand the exchange rate--however if you want a light read with a happily ever after ending this is the book for you. It was a bit unbelievable, but good. It's a beach read.

Becky, who lives in London and writes about finances for a living, can't seem to control her own spending. This book will make you laugh and it's one of the best chick-lit books I've read recently.
