I enjoyed this book so much more than I ever imagined I would. I'd been hearing about Murakami for awhile now and had been meaning to read him, but I had always secretly suspected that I may not like his work. I feared that it would be too "literary" for my tastes, or too post-modern, or even too metaphysical for me to enjoy. This book took me completely by surprise.
