This is one of those books that I find hard to rate. I found Andi to be incredibly grating. She was incredibly angst ridden and suicidal, but I had a hard time caring about her or why she wanted to kill herself. Honestly, I there were times where I wondered why anyone cared about her. At page 300 something. Very good, very good indeed.
The present day scene is so intense it's almost tangible. I felt for Andi a great deal and was intrigued by Alex's story in the diary. Various lyrics are in book also great. I would love the book more if not for the second section (purgatory), where thing became too easy in contrast to ther first section (Hell). I would like the book more if the author made everything a bit more vague, instead of leaning all the way to the fantasy side.
