As a rather large fan of Tina, I had very I hopes for this book and do you know what, I wasn't disappointed. Fey shows that she really is the down to earth, hugely humorous, witty and kick ass woman that comes across in her work as well as showing where that came from (her family also kick ass) and how that has worked both for and against her. Undoubtedly there is some very brilliant humor in Tina's memoir, and it starts off well. From a marketing standpoint (hint...hint...hot summer read) she smartly covers how she became SNL's Sarah Palin and brings readers behind the scenes of 30 Rock and into TV writer's hell. Actually all right. But not as funny/witty as I expected, wished, or hoped it would be. However, I did only watch her show, 30 Rock AFTER reading this book. Still, she is endearing and shows more to her than the show biz comedian. --humility and honesty... Like.
