Wow, wow, WOW, this was just indescribable. There really aren't words to express just how fantastic this book was. There were just too many things to name, but it came together perfectly. The story, the characters, the history, the world that the author built. Just all of it.

I tend to be skeptical of books with a lot of hype, but this one lived up to every gushing review and every 5 star rating in my opinion. I can not wait to continue on with the series, because I have got to know what's going ...more

Darn it, had a review written out and it didn't save...

Basically, really good book. I haven't really been excited about new series in this genre lately but this book definitely gives us something that feels fresh and unique. Super intriguing world of Others and humans. Love that the supernatural beings here aren't cute and cuddly, you're not really going to get googly eyed over any of them in this one.

I've been meaning to read this one forever and all the positive reviews did not lead me wrong. I enjoyed so much about this book. I sometimes have a hard time with overly naive characters but in this case I really loved Meg. She may not know too much about the world but she's determined to make her way. I always love it when authors use the animal characteristics when writing shifters and that was true here.
