I was disappointed with this book after loving The Knife of Never Letting Go, the first one in this trilogy. In this volume, Todd and Viola are separated and they are enlisted to fight for opposing factions.
The book was too long and violent for me. There was almost too much plot – one vicious thing after another. I was struggling a little bit deciding how many stars to rate it with... 4 or 5 stars...
In one hand, this book was really amazing, i totally loved the alternating POV between Todd and Viola, it gave a different feeling to the story in general.
In the other, for the last part of the book, it somehow didn't convince me. The story was going way too awesome and then i just felt the author could've come up with something better, i don't know. (view spoiler) ...more
