I'm really torn between 2 and 3 stars, but I think it's like a 2.75 so I'll round up. I really thought I was going to love this one, but something about it really didn't work for me. I don't care enough to seek out the next volume, but if I ever come across it from the library or something, I might check it out to see if I like the series more as it progresses.

The writing was great! This graphic novel read more like a novel than I expected. The illustrations were also good except for Tyler who did not resemble a teen so much as an adult. I found it hard to keep him separate from other male characters.
