I'm a bit torn over the rating for this one. On the one hand it was entertaining, fast-paced, easy to read, and I always do enjoy a haunted house book. There's a good amount of spookiness and atmosphere. On the other hand, it suffers from being a book written by a man in the 70s. Is it fair to bump a book down for being a product of its time? Hard to say but I can't help but be cognizant of the fact that in the context of the storyline, it would make just as much sense for the men to be victims

Divorato in un paio di giorni, non riuscivo a staccarmene! Era da un po' che non leggevo un horror, anche perché sono una fifona cronica, ma questo ha saputo coinvolgermi completamente. Interessanti i diversi punti di vista dei personaggi, tutti ben caratterizzati. Lo svolgimento è spesso inaspettato e inquietante...non proprio terrificante, ma la tensione rimane alta per tutto il libro. Non sono rimasta delusa dal finale: anche se speravo in qualcosa di diverso l'ho trovato ugualmente adatto.
