first, everyone jumped on the "read the davinci code" bandwagon.
second, everyone jumped on the "the davinci code is a piece of non-intellectual, crap" bandwagon.
thankfully, i read it before the second bandwagon came along.
this book is definitely not a masterpiece (i don't think even brown is claiming that) but if someone wants a fun story to be read in a day (and yes, i read this in one afternoon) then I recommend this book to you. ...more

Not to buy into pop culture but I read this one and then went through everything of Dan Brown's that I could get my hands on. I refused to see the movie because I didn't think Tom Hanks could possibly live up to the way the character was written. I loved not only Dan Brown's story, but the concept he explored of the possiblities of how different our religion & history could be if we had different authors.
