GR ate my review!!! Argh!!!
Anyhow, I really enjoyed this book. I totally loved the combination of humor and urban fantasy and Sam was a huge hit with me (I'm totally into nice men who make me laugh, are not ashamed to love their Moms and want to do good in the world.) I though the villain came down too easily but it's within the realms of possibility.
The audiobook was hilarious - both narrators were good but the one who portrayed Sam was great. I'm definitely listening to the audio when I listen ...more

First impression:
Snarky! Nice characters. A bit confusing but could be my kind of book.

The world building is rich and detailed. And the drama ...more

It was different, funny but gross at the same time.
I picked up this book for a challenge, and wasn't at all sure what to expect. In general, I'm not fond of plot-lines that involve the dead rising. But Sam, the teenage protagonist in this one, was appealing in his combination of naivete and grit. I enjoyed seeing his relationships with his friends and family, and watching his story unfold.

Super funny, fun urban fantasy in the same category as the Iron Druid series. Can't wait to read the next one.
