What Members Thought
Considering The Giver is one of my all time favorite books, this one is a bit disappointing. I didn't quite believe in the dystopian setting. I can see how some people might want to return to a simpler way of life or might even be forced to due to a lack of resources but it seemed unnecessary and unbelievable that girls wouldn't be allowed to learn to read. And it wasn't even a relevant part of the story but still it bugged me whenever it was mentioned. I also hope the story continues on. There

Just lovely. Second book I've read by Lois and I'm looking forward to introducing my kids to the books. All about a possible future, and how things could be so different.
