I enjoyed this book. I read it as a monthly book challenge in NBRC here on Goodreads, my first book challenge. Not my first book club type book, but it's definitely been good answering questions about the book as I go, and makes me think about what I'm reading in a bit more depth. I've had this book on my "to-read" list for a long, long time, probably since before I even had a Goodreads account with a to-read list to add it to. This is one of those classic fantasy book with classic fantasy voice, and I really enjoyed it. The characters are compelling, the worldbuilding is fascinating, the pacing is good and the plot is engaging and exciting. I'm excited to read the sequels!
