This was fun, but for me it just got too fluffy. Maybe fluffy's not the right word. It did try to treat some serious subjects, but it was kind of in a fluffy way.

I was seriously put off by the immortality thing and the business about ancient wisdom. That kind of stuff just doesn't sit well with me. Dangerously close to philosobabble.

I like the voice of the book, smart and snappy with a nice sense of humor. That's what saved it from 2 stars.

I loved this book! What an entertaining summer read! I especially liked the contrast between the technologies: the invention of printing and the invention of internet, two innovations that changed the way we think and live. I think my sons read the Dragon Song Chronicles in elementary school. I will have to ask them about it. Robin Sloan is an imaginative, thoughtful, entertaining, and thoroughly delightful writer.

This book was the most fun! I loved the writing, the characters, the story and the BOOKS! Clever and entertaining, great way to start my summer reading.

'Your life must be an open city, with all sorts of ways to wander in.'

'All the secrets in the world worth knowing are hiding in plain sight.'

'There is no immortality that is not built on friendship.'
