What Members Thought
i had to force myself to finish this book. i don t know why i continue reading a book which bores me to death. i am retired and need not do anything which i do not wish to do, unless my wife tells me to do something. i hope i never do this again but i might. i thought james jones SOME COME RUNNING was the worst long book that i have ever read but this book establishes a new record for me.
My favorite Anthony Trollope novel yet, this one is all about money, money, money, and maybe, a little, about class. Don't worry, there is romance too. But don't think that's not all about money as well. This is an especially relevant read in light of recent financial disasters, but don't let that stop you - I highly recommend it even if the economy improves.
