What Members Thought
Archtypical tough guy detective stuff. I guess it’s pretty much accepted that Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett are the two writers of tough guy private eye stuff that showed all those who followed the way. I haven’t read Hammett in a year or two so I might be off on this, but I think Chandler employs more descriptive writing. No value judgement intended with that - I enjoy them both and I’ll have to read more of both in the near future. Parenthetically, I recently read I The Jury by Mickey
