What Members Thought
A subdued fictionalized story involving the real author W. Somerset Maugham and a real murder trial which subsequently became the basis for his The Casuarina Tree. Even more importantly, at the center is a married couple who Maugham visits to their home in Penang. Full of marital dishonesty in numerous ways that keep on until almost the close of the book. Fascinating tale.
