This is the best book I've read all year!
Adduni is a fourteen-year-old girl in Kenya. She is smart and eager to learn. Her mother encourages her school learning. Unfortunately, momma dies before Adduni finishes her education. Adduni's papa exchanges "sells" her to Morufu as his third wife. That is just the beginning.
