Not a addictive or compelling as Fokry was for me, likely because I'm a reader not a gamer, nevertheless I enjoyed this read and found it worth pushing through the slower parts to get to the gold.

2.5 stars. A coming of age story about 2 friends making video games. Had a long wait list at the library, so I had expectations. Liked the frequent Oregon Trail references, and there's a spectacularly written hospital chapter late in the book which just blew me away. Other than that, kinda tedious.
