Shelves: audible, romance, novel
I am not a video gamer but this novel does make it sound interesting, like it might be fun. At its heart this is a romance between Sadie and Sam who meet in childhood and become partners in a video-gaming business. It is not conventional and then there is their friend Marks. The story is good and complicated. I found the title a bit overwrought but then it is explained quite well toward the end.

After seeing so many mixed reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m so glad I listened to this one. It was a beautiful audiobook. You don’t need to be a gamer to enjoy this, or to get wrapped up in Sadie, Sam, and Marx’s stories. This will be a forever favorite. 🎮🎭🫶🏼
